Poem of the Week

We Won't Forget!

August 23, 2010

Brave men have fought for our freedom
They were our fathers, brothers, and kin
They’ve gone before us in Flanders Fields
Their fight they tried so hard to win

But now it’s up to us to bear
This torch of freedom they’ve given
We have to pass the word along
The path of hope they’ve driven

We can’t forget those men before
They’ve meant much to us all
It’s what they’ve done and meant to do
That lead us to the call

We fight the battle every one
Each one in our own way
Be Forces Personnel or not
It happens day to day

We won’t forget what happened
We’ll pass those memories along
Of peace and faith and hope and life
It’s our destiny as life goes on

We’ll fight the fight and we’ll stay strong
We Won’t Forget!
